Sweet Delights of Switzerland

Unfortunately, as Swiss restaurants apparently want an arm and a leg for a meal (really, it was 25-45 dollars a plate), we only ate at tiny cafes and cake stores, and made dinner at our hotel. So, I will focus on the absolutely delightful cakes that we ate while in Switzerland.

Strawberry tart

I ate this delectable gem in Geneva. It was a sweet pastry crust filled with strawberries that had been glazed.

Chocolate Cake

Teddy had this yummy chocolate and raspberry layer cake. It had a chocolate mousse layer, a cake layer, a raspberry layer, and a cookie crust on the bottom. It was topped off with a chocolate ganache.

Raspberry Custard Cake

This cake was topped with raspberries and a raspberry jelly, with layers of creamy custard and cake. I ate it in Lausanne.

Creme Brulee Cake

In Lausanne, Teddy ate this yummy Creme Brulee cake. The top layer was bruleed, and then had delicious layers below.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing the yummy sweets of Switzerland! Check back Tuesday for a special Italian recipe!
